On Tuesday morning, the NBA revealed the most popular jersey and team merchandise lists for the first half of the 2023-24 season.
The Lakers, Celtics and Warriors are the most popular teams in the league in terms of NBA store sales, and a few familiar names are at the top of the jersey sales list. Stephen Curry owns the top-selling jersey in the league, and Jayson Tatum and LeBron James are right behind him.
However, a youngster has crashed the party. Victor Wembanyama, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, has jumped into the top five of the jersey sales list after providing several highlights during his rookie campaign.
And that wasn't the only surprise. Here's a breakdown of the figures from the first half of the 2023-24 season.
Most popular NBA jerseys 2023-24
Curry, Tatum, James, Wembanyama and Giannis Antetokounmpo own the top five most popular jerseys in the league. Outside of Wembanyama, the other unexpected entry in the top 10 is Tyrese Maxey, who has surged to No. 9.
The 23-year-old guard is currently ahead of fellow 76ers star Joel Embiid in jersey sales. The reigning MVP is No. 12 on the list.
