There's a reason Michael Jordan is considered by many to be the greatest scorer the NBA has ever seen.

Not only did Jordan win an NBA record 10 scoring titles, but his career average of 30.12 points per game is the most in league history.

Jordan averaged at least 30 points in eight of his 15 seasons. He peaked in 1986-87 when he poured in 37.1 points per game. Only Wilt Chamberlain has ever averaged more points in a single season.

Not far behind Jordan on the all-time leaderboard is — no surprise — Chamberlain with a career average of 30.07 points per game. There's a bit of a gap between them and the next group, which features two active players in LeBron James and Kevin Durant.
