Hours after the Warriors agreed to a deal with Kevin Durant and subsequently traded Andrew Bogut, they worked their magic again by convincing Zaza Pachulia to sign a one-year contract worth $2.9 million, according to The Vertical.

The former Mavericks center was averaging a double-double before the All-Star break last season, but the 32-year-old wore down late and finished with 8.6 points and 9.7 rebounds per game.

Pachulia was expected to field offers for more than the $2.9 million, but instead he opted to join the Warriors' star-studded rotation. Like Bogut, Pachulia will likely start for the Warriors but sit when they go to their patented small lineup featuring Draymond Green at center.

At this point, the Warriors can only sign rookies and veterans to the minimum, but they have enough depth stacked up in Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston, Brandon Rush and possibly Marreese Speights to augment any roster deficiencies.

Pachulia is best utilized as a face-to-the basket rebounder who can also provides a solid scoring touch on the block. He isn't mobile or a dominant shot blocker, but he's strong in the paint and a good outlet passer, which is what his new, fast-paced team needs.
