NBA free agency rumors: Bulls have Terry Rozier on their radar image

Terry Rozier appears like he’ll have multiple options this summer.

The Bulls have the 25-year-old on their “radar,” according to a report from The Athletic. Some Chicago executives have a “genuine belief that Rozier could be exactly who the team needs,” the report says.

Rozier will be a restricted free agent in the offseason and the Celtics can match any offer sheet he signs with a different team.

Rozier averaged nine points and 2.9 assists in 22.7 minutes per game for Boston this season. But, he shot just 38.7% from the field and appeared unhappy with his role.

“I might have to go (if the Celtics’ roster remains the same)," Rozier said during an appearance on ESPN's "First Take" earlier this week. "I put up with a lot this year, so, you know, I said what I said after the season (and) I think we all know that I'm not trying to step into that again."

The guard said he wants an opportunity to be a bigger contributor on both ends of the floor.

"I'm looking forward to just playing ball," Rozier said, "I don't care where I go. ... I expect for me to get my chance, whether it's with the Celtics or is anywhere else. I can be myself and play my game wherever I go."

The Bulls finished 2018-19 with a 22-60 record and missed the playoffs for a second straight season. The Knicks are also expected to have interest in Rozier, according to an earlier report from NBC Sports Boston.
