The Celtics are now one win away from their 18th NBA title after beating the Mavericks in Game 3 on Wednesday night.
"The Jays" led the way with one of their best outings of the postseason. Jayson Tatum finally had a huge scoring night, dropping 31 points while pulling down six boards and dishing out five assists. Jaylen Brown had another dominant night, posting a 30-8-8 stat line and bringing his averages to 24.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game for the series.
Once again, Dallas couldn't put together a complete game after keeping things close heading into halftime. The Mavericks got a vintage performance from Kyrie Irving, who led all scorers with 35 points. Luka Doncic had a very inefficient 27 points (11-of-27 shooting), six boards and six assists before fouling out with four minutes left in the game, leaving Dallas with Irving as its only closer.
