Steve Kerr smashes clipboard in pieces and ignites the Warriors' run image

From his playing days all the way to becoming a championship coach, Steve Kerr has always had a pretty laid-back demeanor.

But don’t tell that to the clipboard the Warriors coach smashed Thursday night during the third quarter of Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

Kerr told ESPN between the third and fourth quarters of Golden State's win over the Cavaliers he wasn’t happy with the way his team was playing as they saw their lead whittle away before he chopped the clipboard in half.

"We lost our intensity. It felt like a November game and not a June game,” he said before adding he reminded his team they were playing in a June game.

The Warriors took Kerr’s words and actions to heart, breaking the game open in the final quarter to win decidedly.
