Kevin Love tried, but he won't be allowed to participate in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.
After he reportedly tried to make his case to play against the Warriors on Wednesday, he will not be medically cleared to play, the Cavaliers announced.

The earliest Love will be able to play is in Game 4 on Friday. He participated in part of Cleveland's shootaround practice Wednesday, but wasn't a full participant.
Golden State's Harrison Barnes elbowed Love in the back of the head during Game 2 while battling for a rebound. Love stayed in the game after spending time rolling on the floor, but later left disoriented with concussion-like symptoms.

The Cavaliers are down 2-0 in the best-of-7 series and will try to get their first win minus Love on Wednesday in Cleveland. In two games, Love is averaging 16.5 points and 9.4 rebounds per game in the postseason.
