Round 1 of the 2024 NBA Draft will kick off on Wednesday in Brooklyn, N.Y., less than two weeks after the Celtics won the 18th championship in franchise history with a Game 5 victory over the Mavericks.
While this year's class of prospects doesn't seem to have a superstar talent like Victor Wembanyama, draft night should be exciting because of the uncertainty swirling around the teams at the top of the board. There is plenty of intrigue surrounding international players like Zaccharie Risacher and Alexandre Sarr as well as college stars like Stephon Castle, Donovan Clingan and Reed Sheppard.
And, of course, there is Bronny James, the former USC guard and son of LeBron James. Bronny is projected to be a second-round pick, as several mock drafts have him landing with the Lakers at No. 55 and teaming up with his father.
