NBA Draft lottery odds 2019: Best chances to win No. 1 pick, Zion Williamson sweepstakes image

The 2019 NBA Draft lottery is finally here, and with it the chance to pick Zion Williamson and potentially change the course of a franchise.

Knicks fans are certainly hoping the ping pong balls bounce their way Tuesday night after finishing the 2018-19 season with the worst record in the league (17-65). If New York does win the lottery, the front office will have to decide if it wants to simply take Williamson or use the No. 1 pick as a trade asset. The Knicks will be hunting for stars this summer in free agency, but an Anthony Davis deal would suddenly become realistic with Williamson as the centerpiece.

NBA MOCK DRAFT: Full first-round breakdown

While Williamson is clearly the top prize in this draft class, there is plenty of intrigue about what will happen with the second pick. Murray State star Ja Morant is the second-best available player after Williamson, but teams like the Hawks and Cavs could decide they don't need another guard should they land at No. 2. A trade or surprise pick could have a major domino effect down the rest of the draft board.

There are also a few pick swaps that are worth watching. The Grizzlies, Kings and Mavericks all owe picks in this draft, but the specific protections could complicate things a bit (more details on that below).

Ahead of the long-awaited reveal of the NBA Draft order, here is everything you need to know about the the 2019 NBA Draft lottery.

Prior to this year, the odds of winning the lottery started with 25 percent for the worst team, 19.9 percent for the second-worst team and 15.6 percent for the third-worst team. Under the 2019 format, the three worst teams (Knicks, Cavaliers and Suns) will each have a 14 percent chance of winning the lottery.
