New odds were implemented ahead of the 2019 NBA Draft lottery, leading to a lot of chaos in Chicago on Tuesday night.
The Pelicans won the lottery drawing with a 6.0 percent chance of landing the No. 1 overall pick. It's safe to say New Orleans head coach Alvin Gentry was just a little bit excited about the idea of selecting Zion Williamson at the 2019 NBA Draft in June.

NBA DRAFT BIG BOARD:
Ranking the top 50 players in 2019 class
This year's lottery had to be a disappointment for many Knicks fans after New York finished with the worst record in the league (17-65) for the 2018-19 regular season. The Knicks will pick third behind the Pelicans and Grizzlies. Assuming New Orleans takes Williamson, Memphis and New York will likely pick Murray State's Ja Morant and Duke's RJ Barrett to finish out the top three.
Outside of of Williamson, Barrett and Morant, this group of prospects doesn't have a ton of depth. There could be a few steals in the 2019 draft class, but New Orleans clearly comes out the big winner on lottery night with a generational talent ready to join the roster.
