The first fan vote returns for the 2024 NBA All-Star Game are here.

Between Dec. 19 and Jan. 20, fans can vote on the 10 players they want to see starting in this season's All-Star Game. Like previous seasons, the fan vote will account for 50 percent of the vote to determine the starters. The other 50 percent will be split by current players and a media panel.

Starting on Thursday, the NBA will share voting updates three times in January. Starters will then be revealed at the end of the month.

Here's everything you need to know about All-Star Game voting and the first returns.

If NBA All-Star voting ended today, fan-voted starters would be...

Damian Lillard Guard Luka Doncic
Jayson Tatum Frontcourt LeBron James
Giannis Antetokounmpo Frontcourt Kevin Durant
Joel Embiid Frontcourt Nikola Jokic

The tightest races for starting spots

The closest call right now is the second guard spot in the Eastern Conference.

Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton leads the way with 1,380,795 votes. There's a bit of a gap between him and Damian Lillard, but Trae Young is less than 100,000 votes behind the Bucks guard.

The most interesting race is the Western Conference guards, which is between Luka Doncic, Stephen Curry and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. SGA, who is firmly in the MVP conversation, has some ground to make up between now and the second returns.

Also receiving votes

Victor Wembanyama, Chet Holmgren and Alperen Sengun each cracked the top 10 in the Western Conference frontcourt. Wemanyama and Holmgren are the leading candidates for Rookie of the Year, and Sengun has been one of this season's breakout players.

Celtics fans will be happy to see Derrick White get some love. His candidacy has been a topic of conversation since JJ Redick tweeted that he "is an All-Star."
