LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo will once again captain either NBA All-Star side. This time, though, it's East vs. West. This will be James' 20th All-Star appearance and Antetokounmpo's eighth.
In 2023, Team Giannis defeated Team LeBron 184–175, and Jayson Tatum scored an All-Star Game record 55 points to win All-Star Game MVP.
This year's field features a few first-time All-Stars as well. Paolo Banchero, Jalen Brunson, Tyrese Maxey and Scottie Barnes made their first All-Star rosters for the East.
Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander made his second consecutive All-Star team, but first as a starter.
The 73rd NBA All-Star game will cap off a wild weekend of events in Indianapolis, Indiana, featuring the standard Skills Challenge, 3-Point Contest and Slam Dunk Contest, as well as the Stephen vs. Sabrina 3-Point Challenge, the G League Next Up game and the HBCU Classic.
