Fans who thought they were catching brief glimpses of Michael Jordan's home during his interviews for "The Last Dance" were sorely mistaken.
Turns out, Jordan gave interviews for the ESPN documentary in places other than his. So the luxurious, all-white backdrop with accompanying ocean view — none of it is Jordan's, according to a story by Insider. In fact, the NBA great refused to let "The Last Dance" film crew interview him at all inside his own house.
Said "The Last Dance" director Jason Hehir: "There are certain aspects of his life that he wants to keep private."

So where was Jordan actually interviewed? Turns out he was filmed at three different locations, all of which were close to Jordan's home in Jupiter, Fla. Why the multiple residences? Because Hehir couldn't perform all the interviews he needed in one sitting.
Per Insider, the first house in which Jordan is filmed was rented by the production. It's the one that features the big all-white living room and ocean view. The remainder of the interviews were conducted in two separate locations. Hehir said they belonged to friends of the production who allowed the interviews to take place there.
Because who wouldn't want Michael Jordan in their home?
Perhaps some keen-eyed viewers of "The Last Dance" noticed the differences in the locations. The first is the most open-spaced; the second has a similar all-white background but isn't quite as large. The third is the most different and features the closest shots on Jordan.
His Jupiter residence is inside The Bear's Club golf course resort. Per Insider, it's a three-acre, 28,000-square-foot mansion with 18 structures, including a two-story guardhouse. It has 11 bedrooms and an entire wing dedicated as a workout facility — complete with basketball court.
"He just didn't want people to see all that," Hehir told Insider. "I respected that so I never pushed back."
