A "suspicious item" was found in Markieff Morris' bag as he checked into Philadelphia International Airport on Thursday, CSN Philadelphia reported.
The Wizards forward was detained and, upon further inspection, "suspected marijuana" was discovered in his suitcase, a law enforcement source told CSN Philadelphia.

Morris was taken to the Tinicum Township Police precinct for questioning but was later released. Terminal A of the Philadelphia airport, where Morris was detained, falls under Tinicum police jurisdiction, not Philadelphia Police Department jurisdiction.

Morris, who is from Philadelphia, was traveling with a party that included his mother. He joined the Wizards via trade from the Suns in February.
