Now that Markieff Morris has been traded from the Suns, he and brother Marcus are trying to clear the air as to why he was so eager to leave.
Marcus Morris said the twins felt betrayed by the organization after he and his brother worked out a cumulative deal with the franchise back in 2014 with the understanding the two were a package. The brothers lived together and even share the same bank account.

"We were living the dream," Markieff Morris told Bleacher Report. "Great weather, great house, great relationships with the whole organization. It wasn't about the money. I was just playing basketball, playing with my brother, happy being in the NBA."
Things went south when the Suns agreed to trade Marcus to the Pistons last summer — without giving either of them a hint that a deal was taking place, they said.
"If they had told me, 'We might be going after LaMarcus (Aldridge),' I would've understood," Marcus said. "I would trade myself to make that happen. Even if they didn't tell me, not to give Markieff a heads up or at least say something is brewing ...
"You build a relationship, you expect certain things."
Shortly after Marcus’ trade, Markieff said he made it clear he wanted out of Phoenix. He got his wish Thursday when he was traded to the Wizards for Kris Humphries, DeJuan Blair and a first-round pick in this year's NBA Draft.
"Everybody thinking that we're upset because we don't get to play with each other," Marcus said. "'Kieff can't deal with adversity? We're from north Philadelphia. This isn't adversity. This is betrayal."
