Uh oh. Marc Gasol said the magic word.
Following the Grizzlies' 95-92 win over the Timberwolves on Monday night, the man known as "Big Spain" expressed immense relief knowing Memphis had stopped an 11-game losing streak. Gasol couldn't contain his excitement during his postgame interview, and he let out one of those seven words George Carlin once informed the public you can't say on television. The NBA announced Wednesday that Gasol had been fined $15,000 for the use of "profane language during a live television interview."

"Guys have taken more ownership on their mistakes. It's starting to look more like us," Gasol said. "Obviously now we have to put together more games and more wins, and guys getting used to having a little more confidence with the ball in their hands and get used to playing together. Overall, we won, so f— it."
Gasol finished with 21 points, seven rebounds and five assists against the Timberwolves following a tumultuous week in which the Grizzlies fired coach David Fizdale with reports revealing Gasol's fractured relationship with Fizdale may have contributed to the front office's decision.
Of course Gasol shouldn't have said that on TV. But can we cut the guy some slack? Look at the stress fall off his broad shoulders once the final buzzers sounds.

That's comfort money can't buy. Although Gasol has nearly $50 million left on his contract over the next two seasons, so he actually might be able to purchase that. Seems like something a rich person could do.
Overall, the Grizzlies got the win, and that's a drop in the bucket for Gasol. F— it.
