The Celtics have forced a Game 7 against the Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals, and they did so without a key contributor.

Boston was without Sixth Man of the Year Malcolm Brogdon in its thrilling Game 6 win, as the star reserve has been dealing with a torn tendon in his right arm since Game 1 of the series.

Brogdon went through warmups ahead of Game 6 to try and take the floor with his teammates, but it was announced just before tip-off that he wasn't healthy enough to play.

Derrick White filled in for the injured Brogdon during crunch time and made the most of his opportunity, crashing the glass on a missed Marcus Smart 3-pointer for a game-winning, buzzer-beating tip-in to keep Boston's season alive.

Will the Celtics be without Brogdon again in Game 7? The Sporting News has you covered with the latest updates below.

Is Malcolm Brogdon playing vs. Celtics tonight?

After missing Game 6, Brogdon will be available for Game 7 on Monday.

ESPN's Tim Bontemps reported that Brogdon was in the gym early getting shots up to prepare for the game.

Brogdon was originally listed as questionable for Game 6 before the Celtics eventually ruled him out. He went through pregame warmups but his forearm did not feel well enough to suit up.

The Athletic's Jared Weiss revealed before Game 5 that Brogdon has been dealing with a torn tendon in his right arm leading from his elbow to his forearm since Game 1.

That helps explain Brogdon's struggles in this series, as he is averaging just 6.8 points on 33.3/18.8/77.8 shooting splits in the Eastern Conference Finals. With the Celtics building a big lead early in Game 5, Brogdon only played eight minutes in the win.
