Is Luka Doncic playing tonight? Mavericks star struggling with knee injury ahead of Game 2 vs. Thunder image

The Mavericks will need the best version of Luka Doncic to get past the 1-seed Thunder in the West Semifinals.

Doncic has not looked like himself during the NBA Playoffs and his struggles continued throughout Game 1 of Dallas' series with Oklahoma City. The Mavericks superstar has been limited by a right knee injury, evidenced by his uncharacteristically poor shooting splits.

Dallas suffered a 22-point loss to open the series and will look to bounce back to even the series with a win in Game 2. To hand OKC its first loss of the 2024 playoffs, the Mavericks will need Doncic to return to MVP form.

Here's the latest on Doncic's status for Game 2.

Doncic is listed as probable for Game 2 on the official injury report with a right knee sprain. He is in line to play barring any setbacks.

Doncic has dealt with knee issues throughout the 2024 NBA Playoffs but has not missed a game yet. He saw 41 minutes of action in Game 1 of the second-round series but shot just 6 of 19 from the field to finish with 19 points while also committing five turnovers.

After the game, Doncic said, "Who cares? We lost," when asked if his knee had impacted his performance.
