Kareem's sky hook, Jordan's fadeaway, Hakeem's dream shake, Ginobili's Eurostep, Dirk's one-legged leaner — many great players over the course of NBA history have come up with their own signature moves that have changed the landscape of basketball. And now LeBron James has added whatever the heck this is to the list.

It's so simple, so daft, so obvious. It looks like something you'd try on your little cousins while playing on an 8-foot rim in the driveway at Thanksgiving. And the ball seems to go in. Every. Single. Time.

Renowned NBA Twitter influencer Rob Perez (@worldwidewob) first documented this move in an extensive thread over a year ago. In the thread are 17 different instances of James executing his most unguardable move.
feel like every time LeBron stares at the ball before shooting a 3 this year it goes in. very confident there is evidence to support this. pic.twitter.com/JYiZHr7CtI

The most recent example was the shot heard around the NBA world on Tuesday as James pulled up from the midcourt logo, took a brief glimpse at the ball and let if fly. Splash.

The rising popularity of this move raises lots of questions.
Why is this move so effective? When did LeBron first discover this move? Why doesn't he just stare at the ball every single time before shooting? And most importantly: What are we supposed to call the NBA's newest unstoppable move?
