LeBron James has become increasingly vocal about social issues in recent years, and he spoke out again Thursday night.
The Cavaliers forward said he "shed multiple tears" at the death of Philando Castile, a Minnesota man who was shot and killed by a police officer Wednesday night. While a Facebook video from Castile's girlfriend did not show the shooting, her live video did show Castile bleed to death as a police officer kept his gun trained on him as he sat slumped in the front seat of his vehicle.

James also tweeted the hashtagged names of Castile as well as Alton Sterling, a man who was killed by police on video Tuesday evening in Baton Rouge, La.
In the past, the four-time NBA MVP and three-time NBA champion has made social statements about the shooting death of 12-year-old Tamir Rice by Cleveland police and was one of several players to wear "I Can’t Breathe" T-shirts during warm-ups after Eric Garner was choked to death by NYPD officers on video in 2014.
