LeBron James air balls final shot, then says Cavs lack mental toughness image

LeBron James could have won it for the Cavaliers on Friday, but his air ball in the final seconds only padded a not-so-great statistic.

After the 99-97 loss at Toronto, though, James placed the blame on his team as a whole.

"When you lose the way we lost, mental mistake after mental mistake, those hurt more than anything when you can play better mentally," LeBron told reporters. "People get so caught up on the physical side of the game. We lack mental right now, and we've got to continue to get better with it."

James had his typical 25 points, eight rebounds and seven assists but the Raptors came back from a nine-point advantage in the final 5:30 for the win thanks to Kyle Lowry's 43 points.

James' last-second heave adds to his dismal 3-point performance this season. He is shooting just 28 percent from long distance this season, the lowest in his career.
