The Lakers are looking like a dangerous team ahead of postseason play.
Los Angeles has won 11 of its last 15 games, putting the team in position to potentially secure a playoff berth in a competitive Western Conference bracket. LeBron James, who returned to the rotation last week after recovering from a foot injury, has been encouraged by LA's recent stretch of success.
"We just want to put ourselves in position to be able to compete for a championship," James said after the Lakers' blowout win over the Rockets on Sunday. "It's a journey, and obviously, we don't have as much chemistry as a lot of other teams trying to compete for a championship or have aspirations to win a championship, but I like what we've been building over the last month or so.
"Even when I was out for the four weeks, I liked what we were building, and I'm happy to be back in the mix. We're still building."
