The Lakers' start to the 2022-23 season went from bad to worse on Wednesday when star forward LeBron James left the floor with a groin injury.

Los Angeles did get some good news on Thursday, though. The injury is not expected to sideline the 37-year-old for an extended period.

"It's not torn. That was my biggest thing, that he didn't tear anything," Lakers coach Darvin Ham said after James underwent an MRI scan. "So, it was good news. Even though, you know, I'm sure it's painful. Doubtful, day-to-day, whatever — I'm just happy there wasn't anything torn."

Will James be healthy enough to play in Saturday night's game?

Here is everything you need to know about Lakers vs. Nets, including TV and streaming options for the game.
