LeBron James calls Kyrie Irving 'automatic All-Star' after Cavs beat Wall's Wizards image

Kyrie Irving’s All-Star candidacy may have been a joke to John Wall, but LeBron James found the question laughable for a different reason.

James gave a glowing endorsement of his teammate following the Cavaliers' 121-115 win over Wall’s Wizards on Wednesday.

“What question?" James asked reporters rhetorically. "Have an All-Star Game at his house. He’s an automatic All-Star. He’s the best point guard in our league.”

He didn’t stop there in praising his teammate, who smiled and laughed while watching James answer the question.

“He’s much more than an All-Star," James said. "That’s small peanuts on his plate, and what it should be on his progression. He’s much more than an All-Star. Hopefully that will take care of itself.”

It's hard to argue any of that after Irving's performance against the Wizards. He was sensational, scoring 32 points on 14-of-22 shooting in just his seventh game back after missing the start of the season due to a fractured kneecap.

James had a game-high 34 points to go with 10 rebounds and four assists.

Wall had 20 points and 12 assists, but also committed seven turnovers.
