Both the Lakers and Suns have plenty to play for as the 2022-23 regular season draws to a close.
At 35-37, the Lakers find themselves on the outside looking in on the Western Conference Play-In Tournament, trailing the Jazz, Thunder and Timberwolves by a half-game. The Suns aren't in the clear just yet, with 2 1/2 games separating them from the Mavericks in seventh place.
That should make for a competitive game on Wednesday when the Lakers and Suns meet in Los Angeles.

James and Durant are listed as out for Wednesday's game.
The Lakers announced on March 2 that James would be reevaluated in "approximately three weeks" after suffering a right foot tendon injury. According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, James is likely going to be out beyond that reevaluation period.
The Suns announced on March 9 that Durant would be reevaluated in three weeks after suffering a left ankle sprain. Charania reported that the Suns are "hopeful" Durant will be back before the end of March or early April.
The last time James and Durant faced each other in a regular season game was Christmas Day in 2018.
