Fresh off of the largest comeback of the NBA season, the Lakers ride a three-game win streak into Memphis to face a Grizzlies team that has been up and down as of late.
LA has been impressive since retooling its roster at the trade deadline, but with a 29-32 record, the Lakers still have their work cut out in order to enter the NBA's Play-In Tournament picture and make good on their playoff aspirations. The Grizzlies, on the other hand, stand at 36-23 and look to maintain their hold on the West's No. 2 seed.
Despite the distance in the standings, there's quite a rivalry brewing between these two teams.
In the last meeting between the Lakers and Grizzlies, courtside fireworks served as the background to a game in which LeBron James finished with 23 points, nine rebounds and six assists to lead LA to a thrilling one-point win over Ja Morant and company. Expect yet another thriller in this one given the stakes and the fact that these teams will run it back again in Los Angeles in a week's time.
Will James and Morant be in action when their teams go head-to-head on Tuesday? Here's the latest on the status of each All-Star.

Are LeBron James and Ja Morant playing tonight?
Throughout the 2022-23 season, James has been listed on the Lakers' injury report with foot soreness. James went down in the third quarter of Sunday's game in Dallas but did not exit the game, finishing with 26 points in 37 minutes.
James hobbled out of the arena following Sunday's game after saying his foot/ankle "has been better."
On Monday, the Lakers officially ruled James out for Tuesday's game against the Grizzlies.
Morant is coming off of a 23-point performance in 24 minutes on Saturday against the Nuggets and should be expected to suit up against LA.
