Carmelo Anthony is back in the NBA, and his peers couldn't be more excited.
The 10-time All-Star has agreed to a non-guaranteed deal with the Trail Blazers, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Anthony is set to join Portland on its upcoming six-game road trip, which kicks off with a Saturday night game against the Spurs.

Anthony last played for the Rockets during the 2018-19 season, but Houston decided to "part ways" with the future Hall of Famer after just 10 games. Anthony has been sitting and waiting for his next opportunity ever since, and he finally found it with a Portland team desperate for any frontcourt production.
Upon seeing Thursday night's news, several NBA players hopped on social media and enthusiastically celebrated Anthony's return. LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, both close friends of Melo, kicked off the Twitter spree with multiple exclamation points.
