As Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes first reported, the Lakers star is expected to play in the pro-am basketball league on Saturday. James hasn't played in a Drew League game since 2011, so once fans learned that he would be taking the floor at King Drew Magnet High School, well...

Will Kyrie Irving play in Drew League?

Irving, who has recently been linked to the Lakers in trade rumors, was expected to play in a Drew League game that tipped off at 2 p.m. ET. However, Irving never showed up for that game, leading to speculation about him potentially joining James' team later in the day.

On Saturday afternoon, Drew League commissioner Dino Smiley told NBA.com's Mark Medina that there was no update on when Irving could arrive.
