Cavaliers star LeBron James couldn’t keep Dahntay Jones from getting suspended, but he is doing what he can to soften the blow on his teammate's pockets.
James told Cleveland.com on Monday he planned to "take care of" Jones’ fine for punching Raptors center Bismack Biyombo in the groin in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals.

Such generosity will set James back all of $80.17.
That’s right, less than $100, as the fine is equal to 1/110th of Jones' salary. The Cavs signed Jones on the final day of the regular season for a deal worth $8,880.
"It is what it is, man," Jones told reporters before the Cavs' shootaround Monday morning, via ESPN.com. "Can't get too upset about it. It's unfortunate, but it is what it is."
Jones will miss Game 4 of the series. The Cavs hold a 2-1 edge after dropping Game 3 in Toronto.
The fine is less than many parking tickets, but it's the thought that counts, right?
