The Cavaliers signed Chris "Birdman" Andersen to a one-year deal (expected to be for the veteran's minimum) Friday, Cleveland.com reported. That means Andersen will be reunited with his Miami Heat championship buddy, LeBron James.
The Cavaliers traded Sasha Kaun to the 76ers for Chukwudiebere Maduabum and cash considerations, which cleared up cap space for Andersen.
Andersen, 38, averaged 4.6 points and 4.5 rebounds in 20 appearances with Memphis last season after being traded away by the Heat.
