Larry Brown has troubles in his own basketball world, but even he hates what’s going on in Philadelphia.
Brown said he’s “sick” of what’s going on with the Sixers, and he’s confident he could help.

“It’s an unbelievable basketball city and I had a great experience there,” Brown told Sheridan Hoops. “I don’t want to get on them when they’re struggling, but they don’t have any veteran leadership. I want to help. I could straighten it out in five minutes.”
Now coaching at SMU, Brown is currently serving a nine-game NCAA suspension for academic fraud and unethical conduct in his program.
Brown coached the Sixers from 1997-2003, teaming up with Allen Iverson to lead the franchise to the 2001 NBA Finals. He says he’d love to see his former star rejoin the franchise in a meaningful way.
“I wish they’d get Allen involved,” Brown said. “All those young kids worship him.”
Considering the Sixers' woeful record, bring Iverson aboard doesn’t seem like it would hurt.
