Stephenson, 26, ended the 2015-16 season with the Grizzlies after being traded by the Clippers. He was sent to Los Angeles by the Hornets, with whom he spent one disappointing season after signing as a free agent and leaving the Pacers.
A 2010 second-round pick by the Pacers out of Cincinnati, Stephenson put up solid numbers for the injury-depleted Grizzlies, averaging 14.2 points on 47.4 percent shooting in 26 games, mostly off the bench.
