Time has run out for the Lakers. Tuesday's defeat to the Suns eliminated Los Angeles from the Play-In race, leaving the Spurs to take that final spot.

The loss was the Lakers' seventh in a row. While LeBron James has been otherworldly this season, averaging 30.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game, he had been shouldering a heavy workload down the home stretch.

Unfortunately for James and the Lakers, he hurt his ankle in the first half of the April 1 game against the Pelicans when he stepped on the foot of Jaxson Hayes. This caused James' ankle to twist, and he immediately got checked out by team staffers.

He ultimately stayed in the game, finishing with 39 points.

Now that the Lakers have been eliminated from the Play-In picture, will James suit up and try to cement the scoring title with just three games left in the season?
