Here we are again: the Lakers have yet another chance to close out the Heat in Game 6 of the NBA Finals.
LA failed to get the job done in Game 5, falling 111-108 to Miami in what was the best game of the series so far. The highlight of the night was the battle between LeBron James and Jimmy Butler.
James had a game-high 40 points to go with 13 rebounds in seven assists in the losing effort. Some questioned whether or not James made the right decision on LA's next-to-last possession when, down 109-108, he kicked out to a wide open Danny Green at the top of the key instead of shooting against a quadruple team from Miami.
On the other side, Butler "left it all out there" in his 35-point, 12-rebound and 11-assist triple-double, playing a grueling 47 minutes to will his team to survival. Butler has been crucial in both Heat victories this series; he had 40 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds in the Game 2 win. That means he's had an average line of 37.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and 12 assists in the two Finals wins, compared to 23.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 9.0 assists in the three losses. Miami has needed him to play out of this world so far, but the question is whether he can keep it up after playing so many minutes.
