With the Lakers holding a 2-1 lead over the Heat in the 2020 NBA Finals, Tuesday's Game 4 feels like it will mark a turning point.

Of the 259 NBA playoff series in which a team has held a 3-1 lead, the team with the advantage has emerged victorious 246 times. Underdogs like the 2016 Cavaliers and 2020 Nuggets stick out in recent history because they overcame the odds, but the fact is 3-1 usually means it's time to start packing bags.

If Miami wants to avoid that deficit, it will need another outstanding performance from Jimmy Butler, who went off for 40 points, 13 assists, 11 rebounds, two steals and two blocks in a Game 3 win. The Heat could also be getting some help in the form of Bam Adebayo, who was upgraded to questionable on the injury report after missing Games 2 and 3 with a neck strain.

As for the Lakers, they will look to recover after fumbling a great opportunity to take a commanding 3-0 lead. Anthony Davis had a particularly rough outing in Game 3 (15 points, five rebounds, five turnovers), so expect Los Angeles to get him more involved this time around.
