Lakers free agency rumors: L.A. interested in adding Brook Lopez, DeAndre Jordan, Nikola Vucevic image

The Lakers are showing interest in three veteran centers who could help bolster their depth entering the 2019-20 season.

According to ESPN's Brian Windhorst and Adrian Wojnarowski, the Lakers are eyeing Brook Lopez, DeAndre Jordan and Nikola Vucevic in free agency. The Lakers still have eight spots left to fill on their roster.

"The Lakers, I think, are sniffing around (Lopez)," Windhorst reported. "I think the Lakers need perimeter players. I think they're going to have to use their money on perimeter players. I know DeAndre Jordan is a guy on the Lakers' radar that they're hoping they may able to get for relatively cheap because he wants to be back in L.A."

The report comes after the Lakers reportedly acquired Anthony Davis through a trade with the Pelicans last week. While anything can happen in free agency, the Lakers' interest in these three players gives insight into how they plan to build their franchise around LeBron James and Davis.

Lopez is coming off a season in which he shot 36.5 percent with the Bucks. He played the 2017-18 season with the Lakers. He said in 2018 that the way Los Angeles moved on from him after signing James was "tough."

Jordan also has ties to Los Angeles as he played 10 seasons with the Clippers before spending one with the Mavericks and one with the Knicks, where he averaged 11 points in 69 games last season.

Wojnarowski reported (via CBS Sports): "Orlando and Vucevic… there's a lot of motivation for those two sides to get a deal done. Vucevic has wanted to stay there. Both the Celtics and Lakers are potential landing spots for Vucevic if he doesn't get a deal done with the Magic."

Vucevic, 28, averaged 20.8 points and 12 rebounds per game last season for the Magic, which were both career highs. He's reportedly working on a new contract with Orlando, but if that doesn't happen, there's a possibility he could end up in Los Angeles.
