It wasn't long before Knicks fans got a glimpse of why Phil Jackson made the controversial call to draft Kristaps Porzingis.
In the team's home opener Thursday, the 20-year-old rookie from Latavia threw down a dunk that got the Madison Square Garden crowd on its feet.

Porzingis, who scored 16 points in his NBA debut on Wednesday, finished with 10 points, eight rebounds and three steals in the Knicks' 112-101 loss.
A few more moves like that, however, and we can put the comparisons to Shawn Bradley to rest.
