It's the same honor the Celtics bestowed upon Hall of Famers Julius Erving and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar before their final games at The Garden.
Bryant faced the Celtics twice in the NBA Finals, losing in 2008 and beating them in 2010. Those series helped temporarily revive what was the NBA's signature rivalry in the 1960s and 1980s. Bryant announced last month that this would be his final season.

The 37-year-old guard said he was bringing his two daughters and his wife, Vanessa, to Boston for the experience.
"I'm looking forward to them getting a chance to see the city a little bit. And then to experience the green," Bryant told the Los Angeles Times. "It's just a different green. I want them to be able to see it."
