Remember those old Nike commercials featuring puppet versions of Kobe Bryant and LeBron James? Well, if you're under a certain age, probably not. Fortunately, Nike is bringing them back as the Lakers get set to honor Bryant on Monday night by retiring his No. 8 and 24 jerseys at Staples Center.
Nike has released three new commercials with puppet 'Bron and puppet Kobe chatting on the beach about Bryant's illustrious career. In "Burden," Bryant explains to James why he should be grateful he doesn't have to handle the weight of having two jerseys that "inspired the nation — no, the world."

"Handicrafts" offers some insight on what Bryant's jerseys will do now that each number doesn't have to worry about playing basketball.
And finally, "Uncle Charlie" presents Bryant in deep thought, wondering how a hypothetical conversation would go as an uncle and his nephew try to answer the question: Which Kobe was better, No. 8 or 24?
And just for old time's sake, let's bring back the old chalk commercial, if only to hear James say, "I'm just getting started, baby! Yeeeaaahhh!"
