Don't look now, but the New York Knicks look like they are finally putting it all together.
OK, so you've heard that one before. Of course you have. But maybe this time it'll stick.
The Knicks got big contributions from several players on Tuesday as they beat the Portland Trail Blazers, 107-103 — their fourth win in five games.
Kristaps Porzingis led the way offensively with 31 points and nine rebounds, topping the 30-point mark for the second time in a week.

Perhaps most encouraging, though, was the play of the team's point guard tandem. Derrick Rose scored 18 points, six of them coming in the game's final minutes to help preserve the win, and the Knicks also got a big boost from Brandon Jennings. A former starter with the Milwaukee Bucks and Detroit Pistons, Jennings came up big with 11 assists, helping to keep the ball moving.
That's something Knicks coach Jeff Hornacek can definitely appreciate.
“Brandon doesn’t have to score to have an impact on the game,” Hornacek said after the game. “His impact, his activity, he gets the energy going for the group he is out there with. I can’t say enough for a guy who can come off the bench and get 11 assists. He’s a great player.”
If the Knicks' point guard combo can continue to play well as a tandem, the team could really take off.
Stud of the night
Jimmy Butler continues to carry the load offensively for the Chicago Bulls. Butler put up 35 points, eight rebounds, five assists and added two blocked shots, but the Bulls lost 110-107 to the Denver Nuggets.

Dud of the night
Kent Bazemore was ineffective for the Atlanta Hawks on offense Tuesday night. Bazemore missed all six of his field-goal attempts and finished with just one point in the Hawks' 112-94 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans.

Looking ahead
San Antonio Spurs (11-3) at Charlotte Hornets (8-5), 7 p.m. ET — The Charlotte Hornets got off to a sizzling start to the season, winning six of their first seven games. They've struggled since then, however, dropping four out of their last six, including a 15-point blowout at the hands of the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday. Things don't get easier with the Spurs coming in to town on Wednesday.
