The Golden State Warriors are halfway to their second straight NBA title after obliterating the Cleveland Cavaliers, 110-77, in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

The win was the fifth in a row for the Warriors, who you may have heard set a new NBA record with 73 wins during the regular season. So you’ll have to excuse Klay Thompson for stating what many may find blasphemous when teammate Draymond Green toyed with this hypothetical to reporters after Sunday's big win: "How can you say we're better than the Showtime Lakers?"
"We're better than the Showtime Lakers,” Thompson answered, via Sports Illustrated.
Thompson’s father, Mychal, played for the Lakers from 1987-91, winning two NBA championships with Magic Johnson and Co.

While Thompson’s proclamation is up for debate, what’s not is that the Warriors have dominated the Cavs in the first two games of the NBA Finals, winning by a combined 48 points in those games.
“It’s a dangerous game for us, we believe,” Andrew Bogut said of Game 3 on NBA TV. “Because the game tonight, we won by a big margin. So we can roll in feeling good about ourselves, and everyone’s telling us how great we are. But Cleveland’s a tough place to play, they’re a proud team with one of the greatest players of all-time on their roster.”

Green was the guy who led the way for the Warriors Sunday, scoring 28 points and hitting five 3-pointers.
"The way they’re guarding us, Draymond is open a lot," Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. "He becomes our safety valve when there’s pressure. He becomes an open shooter when they’re jumping out at Steph and Klay. It’s a good situation for him."
