The Warriors are in the midst of a record-breaking 23-0 start to the season, but they may take the court without star shooting guard Klay Thompson for the first time this season on Friday when Golden State takes on the Celtics in Boston.
Thompson suffered what appeared to be a nasty ankle injury Tuesday against the Pacers, and he didn't sound very optimistic about his chances of suiting up.

"It's not feeling great, but it's not feeling bad," Thompson said via ESPN.com. "It's like somewhere in between. It's like 60 percent — nah, 70. It's the team's call, and if it's not 100 percent Friday, I might have to sit out because we have such a quick turnaround. I want to finish the trip on a high note in Milwaukee."
Thompson, who finished with a season-high 39 points against the Pacers, has been rehabbing the injury since. The X-rays came back negative so his status will likely come down to how well he can move.
"He's obviously out there getting some shots up, shooting around, but it'll likely be a game-time decision (against Boston)," Warriors interim head coach Luke Walton said. "If there's any concern at all that his ankle's hurt, then we're not going to play him."
Golden State will continue its chase for an NBA-best 34 consecutive wins against a Celtics team that's won six of its last eight games and has two dynamic guards of their own in Isaiah Thomas and Avery Bradley.
