A kid was able to trick a cameraman during a Dance Cam segment Tuesday night at the Staples Center during the season opener between the Lakers and Clippers.

The kid could be seen at first holding two T-shirts. In front was a red Clippers shirt, but beneath that was a black shirt with yellow text that reads, "Fight for Freedom, Stand with Hong Kong." That's the same phrase that was used in the tweet sent by Rockets general manager Daryl Morey on Oct. 4, which caused a rift between the NBA and China. (More on that here.)
Morey's tweet also caused a reaction by LeBron James, who called the GM's tweet "misinformed." James, of course, was in the Staples Center during Tuesday's game between the Lakers and Clippers, so the topic was relevant.
Getty Images show T-shirts like the one held up by the kid being distributed outside of the arena before the game. Images also show protesters mocking James with various Photoshops and messages.
On the first night of NBA action, we saw plenty of discussion around this topic, and you can likely expect it to continue throughout the 2019-20 season.
