John Wall can't say for sure if he can play next season.
While speaking to reporters at halftime of the Wizards' regular-season finale Tuesday against the Celtics, the veteran point guard said his goal is to return next season but acknowledged he's still waiting on medical clearance.
"I have no idea just yet. That's my goal. ... That's my mindset, where I'm pushing toward,'' Wall said, per NOLA.com. "But whenever the doctors clear me and get to that point, then I will know.''
Wall is still recovering from a torn Achilles' tendon suffered in February after he underwent left heel surgery in January.
"I think it was finally at the point when it was weaker and it was going to give out,'' Wall said, "so I'm glad it gave out then instead of me being four months ahead in rehabbing.''
The 28-year-old All-Star appeared in just 32 games this season, averaging 20.7 points, 8.7 assists and 3.6 rebounds as the Wizards fell victim to their first losing season since 2012-13.
