Denver Nuggets forward J.J. Hickson will miss the rest of the season with a torn right ACL.

Nuggets General Manager/Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Tim Connelly announced the injury Saturday, the day after it happened in the fourth quarter of a 106-122 loss to the Dallas Mavericks.

A date for the surgery has not been set yet.

Hickson averaged 11.8 points and 9.2 rebounds in 69 games (52 of them starts) with the Nuggets. He led the team in double-doubls with 26, tied for 20th in the NBA.

It was Hickson's first season in Denver after joining the team as a free agent this summer. He's played with Cleveland, Portland and Sacremento during this five-year career.
