Utah likes what it has seen from coach Quin Snyder and will stick with him for the foreseeable future.
The Jazz and Snyder have agreed to terms on a long-term extension that will build on the two years he has remaining on his current deal, the team announced Saturday.

Snyder, 52, is in his sixth season with the team and has helped it reach the playoffs in each of the last three years. But the Jazz aspire for more than that and made some serious moves this summer.
Utah quietly had one of the better offseasons in the league, as it acquired Mike Conley via trade and signed Bojan Bogdanovic in free agency while retaining the team's pillars — Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert.
It is just one season removed from a fifth-place finish in the competitive Western Conference and arguably got better across the board ahead of 2019–20.
Snyder has more talent than he has ever had at his disposal this year and the way he uses that could help the Jazz contend for a title sooner rather than later.
Utah will open up regular-season play when it hosts Oklahoma City on Oct. 23.
