The 2022 NBA All-Star Game is set to take place in Cleveland on Sunday, Feb. 20.

Team LeBron will take on Team Durant, but it appears that LeBron James' team will be without one of its stars.

Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell will miss Sunday's All-Star Game with an upper respiratory illness, according to the team.

“It is a great honor and has always been a dream of mine to be selected as an NBA All-Star," Mitchell said in the release. "Remorsefully, I will not be able to play in tonight’s All-Star Game due to an upper respiratory illness (non-COVID-related).

"The entire All-Star weekend is a celebration of the basketball community, the fans and the sport I am blessed to play. I’m focused on getting well and back out on the court. Thank you for all the get-well wishes. I can’t wait to see the game later today.”

Mitchell was poised to suit up for his third-consecutive All-Star Game after averaging 25.7 points, 5.2 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game for the Jazz this season.

Because of the late announcement, it is unlikely that Mitchell will have an injury replacement for his spot on the roster.

You can catch the All-Star Game on Sunday, Feb. 20 at 8 p.m. ET on TNT.
