Considered by many as the best prospect in the 2022 NBA Draft class, Auburn forward Jabari Smith Jr. "fell" to the Rockets at third overall on draft night.
A 6-foot-10 forward with elite shooting touch, the 19-year-old Smith is the newest reason to be excited about Houston's future.
During his lone season at Auburn, Smith racked up a number of honors after averaging 17.1 points and 6.9 rebounds while shooting a scorching 42.0 percent from 3-point range.
Ahead of the draft, TSN Draft expert Kyle Irving had this to say about what Smith can do outside of his shooting: "His quick feet, length and athleticism make him the type of versatile defender every NBA team is looking for.
"If he develops into a reliable shot creator off the bounce, he'll be a multi-time All-Star and franchise player."
The first step towards Smith becoming that player is at the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, where Smith is expected to suit up for the Rockets' summer squad.
Here is when Smith and the Rockets will be in action and how you can tune in.
