It may be Tuesday, but NBA fans have to wait a few more days to watch one of the most popular in-studio crews.
With no games slated to air on TNT on Jan. 2, fans won't get the opportunity to watch Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Shaquille O'Neal and Kenny Smith on the award-winning set of "Inside the NBA." Not to worry, though, the show will be back on the air soon.

When does Inside the NBA come back?
"Inside the NBA" comes back on Thursday, Jan. 4. After airing on Tuesdays during the first few months of the 2023-24 NBA season, the show will return on a Thursday to open the new calendar year.
There are only two NBA games scheduled for Jan. 4, and TNT will have wall-to-wall coverage. At 7 p.m., the night begins with TNT's "NBA Tip-Off," as Johnson, Barkley, O'Neal and Smith will catch up with the weeks of NBA action that have transpired since their last time on air.
Following "NBA Tip-Off," TNT will air a doubleheader that begins with Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks traveling to San Antonio to face Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs at 7:30 p.m. ET. The meeting between European phenoms will be followed by a showdown of the last two NBA champions as Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets visit Stephen Curry and the Warriors at 10 p.m. ET.
After the final buzzer sounds in San Francisco, things head back to the studio for "Inside the NBA," which will serve as a postgame recap of each of the night's occurrences.
January will be a busy month for the TNT crew as they'll also return to the studio for the network's coverage of NBA action on the Martin Luther King Holiday, which falls on Monday, Jan. 15 this year.
