Stop us if you've heard this one before: Derrick Rose will sit out the next Bulls game.
The point guard was ruled out of the lineup for the first time this season Wednesday against the Suns because of a sore ankle.

Rose injured his ankle Monday while scoring 23 points against the Pacers. He insisted after the game that he'd be all right, but Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg said he does not want the injury to linger, so Kirk Hinrich will start in Rose's place.
Hoiberg also said that Rose might miss Friday's game against the Warriors.
The 2011 MVP has struggled with injuries since tearing his ACL in the 2012 NBA playoffs. Rose has played more than 50 games just once since then, after missing just four games in his first three seasons. Ten straight games without sitting out is the longest Rose has gone to start a season since the 2011-12 campaign.
Rose has also been dealing with double vision this season, the result of an orbital bone fracture suffered during the preseason.
